Kiara “Kiarita” is a Dominican-American artist based in New York City. In this piece, Kiara discusses their recent sculpture, Guía, currently on display at Not That Deep, a Brooklyn-based underground gallery located in an apartment basement. In this piece, they reflect on the importance of independent galleries and what it takes to build a life as an artist in New York City.
